What's on in Wrose
Below is a brief calendar of things going on in Wrose, from our Summer Play activities to Christmas Lights in December. If you have something special taking place let us know and we'd be happy to put it on this page.
Wrose Remembrance Trail
Working with our local district Councillors, we have erected a Remembrance Trail around Wrose detailing the lives of 11 servicemen and women whose lives were chronicled in The Shipley Times during WWI and WWII.
There are 13 boards in total, and you can find them on the following streets:
Low Ash Avenue
Low Ash Crescent
Low Ash Drive
Low Ash Grove
To give you an idea of what they look like, here's one:
You can view them on a specially created Google Map here: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/d/edit?mid=1JwqFJ61u9EKaWOdeZUDXazXCy5_HfkA&ll=53.82952562800141%2C-1.7562495366940811&z=17

We would like to thank local Shipley historian, Richard Coomber, for his tireless work in identifying the soldiers and their entries in The Shipley Times. You can visit his website here: http://www.shipleyww1.org.uk/
