Winter Market
Wrose Parish Council embraced the festive spirit by organising this year’s Winter market as part of the Christmas activities in Wrose on Saturday 9th December. The weather conditions proved to be challenging but the traders still managed to provide a great selection of gifts and tasty treats for those who did mange to brave the cold and wind.

Wrose Remembers
Wrose Parish Councillors and volunteers were out at the weekend putting up the red tommy signs on Wrose Road in preparation for Remembrance Sunday.
The Wrose Remembrance Trail has also been put up which tells the story of some of those who lived in Wrose and served in World War 1. There are 13 boards from Low Ash, to Westfield Lane and the Claremonts for you to discover.
Christmas Market in Wrose
The first chill is almost in the air and that could only mean one thing: Christmas is around the corner.
Building on the success of last year’s inaugural market, this year Wrose will host its second Christmas Market and is inviting traders to apply for a stall.
Wrose Parish Council are looking to hold a Christmas Market on the parade of shops on Wrose Road (The Old Library to Age UK Hub), Saturday 9th December between 11am-4pm as part of a wider Wrose Christmas Celebration event.
Other elements of the event include a Santa’s Grotto and Sleigh, face-painting, mulled wine and the launch of the Wrose Christmas Window Trail, which will take place from 10-24 December.

The Annual Governance & Accountability Return is available for inspection by any local government elector of the area of Wrose Parish Council on application to:

Did you know that Wrose has its very own Community Notice Board?
Located on Wrose Road, outside Age UK, the board is a central hub where residents can share and discover upcoming local community events and activities. The board also displays public meeting notices for Wrose Parish Council to keep you up to date with what your parish councillors are considering each month.
Notices from local not for profit groups can be added via Age UK. Just call into the shop, and a member of staff or volunteer will be able to help.

Wrose Summer Festival – A success despite the rain
Big thanks to everyone involved for making the first Wrose Summer Festival such a success. We’re pleased to say that the weather didn’t get in the way of any of the acts playing or people enjoying themselves. Special thanks go to Bren from Live at the Lounge for spending so much time pulling all the talented acts together, Sam, Mick and all the crew at The Bold Privateer for being such brilliant hosts, nothing was too much trouble, all the traders for sticking it out through the turbulent day and of course to everyone who came along on the day with their waterproofs and brollys determined to make the most of things. We couldn’t have done it without you all. Thank you.
